This year's first batch of Australian cherries arrives in Nanjing

Recently, a shipment of 96 boxes holding 1,152 kilograms of cherries from Tasmania, Australia, arrived at Nanjing Lukou International Airport. This was the first batch of Australian cherries to arrive in Nanjing this year. The Nanjing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau immediately inspected the fruit.

In 2013, China started importing cherries from Australia. It currently only imports Tasmanian cherries, as this is an area without fruit flies, and the cherries do not need to be refrigerated.
