December is a good time for Chilean cherries to  hi the market. The strong sunlight and fertile volcanic ash soil in the South America provide the prefect conditions to produce beautiful, exquisite, firm, juicy, and very sweet and flavorful cherries. Abundant Chilean cherries arrived at Guangzhou Port yesterday after taking a long journey. 


//2.5 Hours "Nansha Speed"


At the dawn of traditional Christmas festival in the West, Nansha Harbor Area, Guangzhou Port greeted "Lloyd Don Giovanni" on December 25, it was the very first Cherry Expressfrom Evergreen, and the unloading, customs clearance, release and transportation to Jiangnan Fruit Wholesale Market were completed within 2.5 hours, bringing the freshest Chilean cherries toawaiting consumers . This sets the record as the fastest and most cost-effective cherry express in South China!

Nansha Customs creatively applied the customs clearance mode designed for very delicate fruits such as cherries to retain freshness and firmness of the fruits. This implemention uses "advance declaration, shipside division", realizing the fast customs clearance to the greatest extent.


 It is reported that there were 23 containers of cherries in total, of which 6 containers with an inspection rate of 26% were required to be inspected. So, how fast is the express line? Now have a look at the timeline!

The containers without inspection are shipped to Jiangnan Fruit Wholesale Market, five vehicles of cherries were transferred from Haixin Cold Storage to Shanghai, and one vehicle of cherries was transferred to Jiaxing market, Zhejiang Province.

Nansha Harbor Area is the nearest wharf to Jiangnan Fruit Wholesale Market. Through the "Nansha Express ", the goods berthed on the shipside of Nansha Harbor Area can arrive at Jiangnan Fruit Wholesale Market on the same day  as goods arriving by ship in Hong Kong

Completed at a dash! Chilean cherry  express line's completion from ship unloading to the arrival at the market in 2.5 hours further reflected ultra fast and incomparable "Nansha Speed", being the achievement of collaborative efforts of Nansha Customs, port / wharf, Evergreen Marine, import trader, customs declaration / agency,, Longxue Fleet, Haixin Cold Storage and other links.

On September 26, 2019, Chile’s largest cherru t exporters and major fruit importers in South China visited Nansha Harbor Area, Guangzhou Port and inspected Nansha International Cold Chain Logistics Base.


It is worth expecting that after the arrival of current Chilean cherries express, several batches of Chilean cherries will arrive successively before Chinese New Year 2020. Nansha Harbor Area, Guangzhou Port will strengthen cooperation as always to ensure efficient and smooth operation in regards to the arrival of the express shipments for cherries.


 It is understood that the six 8-storey cold storages of Nansha International Logistics Center of Guangzhou Port are under urgent construction under joint construction of Guangzhou Port and Dalian Port YIDU Cold Chain, such cold storage will become the largest cold and fresh port in South China after completion, increasing the storage capacity by 460000 tons. The project at Phase I is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2020.
